Orange City have reversed the result of the Qualifying Final, and have upset minor premiers, Orange CYMS to win the 2nd Grade Grand Final played yesterday.

The overnight and morning rain caused the match to be moved from Wade Park to Anzac Park as the start of play was delayed by 45 minutes.

When play was eventually able to get underway, CYMS won the toss and elected to bat first. Openers, James Donato and Sean Donato getting their team off to a reasonable start, taking their team to 23 after 10 overs. Jye Southcombe then removed Sean Donato and then Ant Spruce from the very next delivery to give his team the ascendency and when John Mulhall lost his wicket in the 19th over, CYMS only had 36 on the board.

The Orange City bowlers kept the pressure on the CYMS lineup as wickets fell regularly until CYMS were all out in the 34th over. Jye Southcombe finished with 3/8 from his 6.3 overs, while Brant Mann picked up 4/6 from 3 overs.

After losing his opening partner earlier, Tim Hunt made his way to 30 before rain interrupted the Orange City innings at 1/39 after 15 overs. 10 overs were lost, with Orange City's target reduced to 58. The warriors lost 3 more wickets on their way to victory, which they secured in the 22nd over. Jye Southcombe was named player of the match.

In Third Grade, Orange City defeated CYMS Lions to claim the premiership on the back of an undefeated season. City opener, Adam Cowden top scored with an unbeaten 40 in the chase for victory. When rain stopped play, Orange City were ahead on DLS. Cowden was named player of the match.

Orange City also claimed the 4th Grade title to make it a clean sweep, after their match against Kinross was abandoned without a ball being bowled at Moulder Park. City claimed the premiership after being the first team through to the Grand Final.
