Our Western Zone Cup team travelled to Bathurst for the final round, knowing that a win would see them through to the final. Bathurst won the toss and sent us in to bat, which earned the hosts an early reward with the wicket of Will Younghusband with our score on 15. Our representative side made it three wins from 3 matches in the Western Premier League competition after defeating Bathurst by 4 runs on Sunday, to finish the competition on top of the table and a home final. First up win in Western Premier League
With a new-look side under the leadership of Tom Belmonte, we went into Sunday’s Western Premier League first round match against Dubbo looking to make a positive start to our representative season. Winning the toss, we elected to bat against Dubbo, on a Wade Park track that had yielded over 500 runs the day before.
