Planning for season 2025-26 is well underway and clubs were provided with the following update at a recent meeting of the Association.

The men's grade competitions are set to commence from 11 October. Second Grade and Third Grade will start their competitions on that date, with Fourth Grade (a.k.a. Centenary Cup) to start the following week.

All grades are set to have a 4 team finals series again, with Grand Finals will be played on the last Saturday in March.

Based on an assumed 6 team competition, the Second Grade competition will consist of 20 rounds. Only the one Twenty20 double header has been included for this season, planned for the last round before the Christmas New Year break. Points for these matches will be the same as one day matches.

Third Grade will likely increase from the 7 teams of last season, with Spring Hill already confirmed to drop down from Second Grade. Third Grade will play 16 rounds across their season, with a break over the Christmas for their separate Twenty20 competition. The final of the T20 competition is set down for 24 January.

Fourth Grade will have a 15 round competition started on 18 October. The Fourth Grade competition will also pause for 4 weeks either side of Christmas and New Year while their separate T20 competition is held.

Team nominations are due to be finalised on 21 September, with final competition structures and formats to be confirmed shortly after that.

For this season, separate T20 competitions will be held in Third Grade and Fourth Grade across a 4-week period either side of the Christmas New Year break, in place of the Lower Grade T20 competition held in recent seasons. Players will be permitted to double up for both competitions to ensure clubs have enough players to fill teams.

The women's social cricket will again be held in two 6-week blocks either side of Christmas. The pre-Christmas block starts on 31 January, while the post-Christmas matches will start on 6 February.

The women's T20 competition will get underway on 26 October, with full details of the competition to be confirmed once team numbers are known.

Team nominations for our women's competitions are due by 10 October.

A Colts competition in also being considered for this season and will be subject to interest from clubs. The likely format will be T20, with matches to be played on selected Sundays across the season.
